New York Yankees fans had much to be excited about last night, thanks to the team's thrilling 14-12 victory against the Minnesota Twins in extra innings.

Unfortunately for the Yankees and their fans, however, Gary Sanchez injured his groin and was placed on the IL this afternoon. While there may not be a way to replicate Sanchez's production, here are three players fantasy owners could pick up if he's now that he's on the IL.

3. Austin Romine, C, New York Yankees

The best part about using Austin Romine as a replacement is that he's almost surely available in your league, as he's owned in one percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues. Romine is going to fill in for Sanchez on the Yankees, and he went he's proven to be more than a serviceable player when Sanchez is out of the Yankees' lineup. Though he's a career .229 hitter, he could provide fantasy value in the Yankees' loaded lineup.

2. Danny Jansen, C, Toronto Blue Jays

Danny Jansen is owned in 45 percent of leagues in his second season in the Majors. While he hasn't put up huge numbers this season, by any means, he's started to turn it on lately. He has a .277 batting average with five home runs over the last four weeks, and could prove to be an excellent fantasy investment if he can stay hot while Sanchez is out.

1. Travis d'Arnaud, C, Tampa Bay Rays

Travis d'Arnaud has proven to be a consistent option behind the plate this season. He's available in 59 percent of leagues, and is hitting .243 with 11 home runs and 35 RBI for the Tampa Bay Rays this season. He's even hotter than Jansen, with five home runs since July 15. If d'Arnaud maintains this level of production, he could be a fantastic short-term replacement for Sanchez.
