3 Buffalo Bills Bold Predictions for Week 1
By Zach Brunner

The Buffalo Bills kick off their 2020 season with a divisional game against the New York Jets. Despite being on the road, the Bills are the heavy favorites to begin their season 1-0.
Buffalo getting this win wouldn't be surprising in the slightest. However, the game could still bring some other surprises. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Bills against the Jets.
3. Bills Sack Sam Darnold Five Times
The Jets invested in their offensive line this offseason, but they are still relying on some raw players up front to protect Sam Darnold. Meanwhile, the Bills have a talented defense, which averaged 3.0 sacks per game last season (No, 6 in NFL). When the Jets faced a full strength Bills team last season, Darnold was sacked four times. We'll see if they can do one better this time around.
2. Bills' Defense Scores Points
This Bills defense is expected to be among the best in the NFL this season, and they could get in on the scoring action. In the only game they were at full strength against the Jets last year (they rested players in Week 17), the defense got a safety. We saw Darnold throw a pick six in Week 1 of the 2018 season, so maybe he will look to bring back the tradition in this game. The Bills averaged 1.4 takeaways per game last season, which was tied for 10th-best in the league.
1. Josh Allen Get His First 300-Yard Passing Game
Josh Allen's career has been highlighted by his passing inconsistencies, but this Jets defense should help him out. They traded away their best player, in Jamal Adams, then saw their second-best player, C.J. Mosley, opt out of the season. Buffalo, meanwhile, continues to invest in the supporting cast around Allen, giving him Stefon Diggs this offseason. They will look to build Allen's confidence early, and he could put up his first career 300-yard passing day.
