The Green Bay Packers will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in one of the best QB matchups in NFL postseason history, pitting Aaron Rodgers against Tom Brady in the playoffs for the first time ever. For bettors who are looking to keep a particularly close eye on the presumptive 2020 MVP, there are plenty of Aaron Rodgers prop bets available on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Here are the three best Rodgers-themed player props for this Buccaneers-Packers clash.
3. Aaron Rodgers - Passing Yards: Over 283.5 (-112)
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the best run defense in the league. It's not even particularly close, with Tampa Bay sitting No. 1 by rush defense DVOA and surrendering a league-best 80.6 rushing yards per game. If Green Bay is forced to abandon the run game, as it was in Week 6 when Aaron Jones was held to 15 yards on 10 carries, Rodgers will be asked to carry the load. That's a scary proposition for any NFL defense. Rodgers has recorded at least 283 passing yards in 11 of his 17 appearances this season, including last week. That game came against a Los Angeles Rams' defense that many believed to be the best in the NFL. It didn't matter, as Rodgers cruised to an absurdly efficient performance completing 23-of-36 passes for 296 and 2 TDs. If he can do it to the Rams, he can certainly do the same to the Bucs.
2. Aaron Rodgers Interception: Yes (+146)
Rodgers only tossed 5 interceptions on a whopping 526 pass attempts this season. However, 2 of those INTs came against this very defense. He was also sacked at least one time in each game that saw him throw an interception. Few teams can generate pressure like Tampa Bay. The Bucs ranked No. 3 in pressure rate (27.2%), No. 4 in sacks (48) and blitzed at the fifth-highest rate in the league. With stalwart left tackle David Bakhtiari out due to a torn ACL, Rodgers could be under duress all afternoon. That should seriously increase his chances of getting picked. Plus, this bet is juiced at +146, which is a nice added bonus.
1. Aaron Rodgers - Passing Touchdowns: Over 2.5 (+140)
No one threw more touchdowns than Rodgers did this season, as he tossed a whopping 48 TDs in 2020. That's tied for the fifth-best single-season mark of all-time. It also means he averaged exactly 3.0 TD passes per game. Even more impressively, Rodgers tallied at least 3 passing TDs in 12 of his 17 appearances this year. That's just absurd. Facing a Tampa Bay defense that allowed the 11th-most passing TDs in the league (29), don't expect Rodgers to slow down this weekend.
