3 Atlanta Falcons Bold Predictions for Week 4 Monday Night Football
By Larry Rupp

The Atlanta Falcons have blown back-to-back double-digit point leads to fall to 0-3 on the season. Now they travel to Lambeau Field to take on the undefeated Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. As 7-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Falcons will have to pull of an upset if they want to avoid an 0-4 start.
The Falcons will need some key players to step up and a overall strong performance if they want to be at the Packers. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for the Falcons in Week 4.
1. Julio Jones Returns with 100+ Yards and a Touchdown
Star wide receiver Julio Jones missed the Falcons' Week 3 game with a hamstring injury, but he was a game-time decision, which gives hope that he will play this week. Look for Jones to immediately return to being quarterback Matt Ryan's favorite target upon his return. Fellow wide receiver Calvin Ridley is second in the league in receiving yards, which means Jones may not see as much attention as usual since teams now know they can't just leave Ridley in single coverage. In a game that is projected to be a high-scoring affair, Jones may see 10+ targets on an offense that loves to throw the ball. If that is the case, he should have no problem racking up over 100 receiving and even reach the end zone on Monday Night.
2. Todd Gurley has 125+ Yards From Scrimmage
The Packers haven't struggled in many ways en route to a 3-0 start, but they have had some trouble with dual-threat running backs. Alvin Kamara tore the Packers defense apart last week with 197 total yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, the Packers' defense have given up at 4-plus receptions to a running back in each game this season. Gurley only has 3 receptions in 2020, but look for him to be heavily featured on offense in this one. If the Packers struggle to cover him coming out of the backfield, Ryan may pepper some targets his way. Gurley has yet to put up more than 81 yards from scrimmage this season, but look for him to have 125 yards or more by the end of this high-scoring Monday Night matchup.
3. Atlanta's Defense Holds Aaron Jones Under 60 Rushing Yards
While Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is receiving early MVP consideration, Aaron Jones has quietly been carrying this team on offense as well. He has at least 76 yards from scrimmage in every game so far this season. If the Falcons want to win this game, they will have to stop Jones coming out of the backfield. Atlanta ranks within the top half of the league in rushing yards allowed per game (113), but has given up 5 rushing touchdowns so far this season. Knowing their offense can keep up with anyone in terms of passing downfield, look for the Falcons to focus on stopping the daunting running game of the Packers in what could become an aerial shootout in Week 4.
