The Phoenix Suns started their NBA Finals quest with a commanding win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1. However, it didn't come without a cost, as big man Dario Saric left in the first quarter with an apparent knee injury.

The update on Saric's knee on Wednesday turned out to be the worst-case scenario.

Dario Saric Injury Update

Saric suffered a torn ACL in his right knee on his first-quarter drive to the basket and will be sidelined indefinitely. It's a blow to the Suns' rotation given Saric's key role as backup center to Deandre Ayton. The former No. 12 overall pick averaged 11.1 minutes, 4.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game heading into the NBA Finals.

Reserve big man Frank Kaminsky will be leaned upon in Saric's absence, though the former only saw four minutes of action in Game 1 as Ayton played 39 minutes. Saric's absence could be key if Milwaukee makes it a point to attack Ayton for the rest of the Finals and get him into foul trouble.

The Suns are 5.5-point favorites over the Bucks heading into Game 2, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
