Big Shakeup Between Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson in Latest MVP Odds Update

With an incredible start to the season, Russell Wilson's MVP odds made it look like he was running away with the award through the first half of the season.
An impactful couple of weeks has caused a huge shift in those MVP odds, however, as Patrick Mahomes has officially taken the top spot from Wilson. Mahomes is now a +175 favorite, while Wilson ranks second at +250 on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A look at their respective numbers makes it clear why this shift happened. Through Week 8, Russ had cooked up 2,151 yards with 26 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. His last two outings, however, have seen him throw twice as many interceptions (4) as touchdowns (2).
Mahomes has gone in the opposite direction. He was on bye in Week 10, but he threw 9 touchdowns with 0 interceptions over his last two games. He's now up to 2,687 yards with 25 touchdowns and just 1 interception on the year.
The odds also highlight just how wide open this race is. It's not only Mahomes and Wilson in contention, but third-placed Aaron Rodgers (+300) is still firmly in the conversation, and even Kyler Murray (+900) is making some noise.
