Baltimore Orioles starter John Means was in the middle of an All-Star-worthy season before hitting the injured list in early June. A shoulder strain has kept the 28-year-old out of the rotation since, though he's been making progress in his rehab.
And now, the left-hander is finally ready to make his return to the mound.
John Means Injury Update
Means feels that he's in a great place with his shoulder and will get the nod as the Orioles' starter on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays once he's officially activated from the IL. That's nothing short of fantastic news for Baltimore, who could certianly use some at the moment.
Means owns a 4-2 record with a 2.28 ERA and 69 strikeouts this season across 71.0 innings pitched. Tuesday's contest will be his first start for the Orioles since June 5.
Baltimore has tumbled down the standings during Means' absence and own the worst record in the AL at 30-62, but hopefully the starter's return will give this team a boost to close the 2021 campaign.
