FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Nikola Jokic Fantasy
Target Nikola Jokic, C, Denver Nuggets ($11,300): Nikola Jokic is on fire and he has a fantastic matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight to keep that going. Jokic has posted 50-plus FanDuel fantasy points in five of his last six contests, and he's coming off of performances of 64.7 and 73.0, respectively, in his last two games. Jokic also has three triple-doubles over his last six outings. Now he faces the Portland Trail Blazers, who are giving up the sixth-most points (114.6) and 10th-most rebounds (53.9) per game this season. Jokic is in prime position to have another monstrous all-around game.
Bradley Beal Fantasy
Target Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards ($8,500): Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal can't be stopped as a scorer this season, registering the second-highest PPG in the league at 31.1 while adding 4.7 APG and 4.6 RPG. He's put up 67 points over his last two games while shooting a scorching 70.0% from deep. He has a great opportunity for another offensive explosion against the Golden State Warriors, who are giving up the 10th-most PPG (113.3). These two teams are at the top of the league in pace and in the bottom for scoring defense, making this a potential shootout. That bodes extremely well for the shoot-first guard on Wednesday.
Gary Trent Jr. Fantasy
Target Gary Trent Jr., SG, Toronto Raptors ($6,600): Gary Trent Jr. returned to the lineup on Sunday after a two-game absence and immediately responded with 47.5 fantasy points thanks to a 23-point, 5-steal performance. He's scored 23 or more points in three of his last four contests while shooting 50% from the field and 44.1% from 3-point land. Toronto has been content with letting the young guard shoot his heart out and that gives him a promising outlook against the Brooklyn Nets, who allow opponents to score the seventh-most PPG (114.4). Trent has seen a huge uptick in minutes (33.6 per game) since arriving in Toronto and he should have ample opportunities tonight to light up the Nets.
Julius Randle Fantasy
Avoid Julius Randle, PF, New York Knicks ($10,000): Julius Randle has impressed with his play of late, but he's taken advantage of softer competition. The New York Knicks' do-it-all forward may not be able to put up the same numbers against the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta is no slouch on defense, ranking in the top half of the league for opponent PPG (111.2). And thanks to John Collins and Clint Capela, the Hawks hold opponents to the sixth-fewest RPG (50.2) this season. Randle could face problems having the big impact as a rebounder and distrbutor he usually does, which makes it hard to justify his price tag.
Trae Young Fantasy
Avoid Trae Young, PG, Atlanta Hawks ($9,500): Staying in that same game, Trae Young is another avoid tonight. Young has only eclipsed his fantasy PPG average of 43.2 once over his last three games. He's had scoring nights with 15, 34 and 25 points in that span, showcasing the unpredictability of his production right now. It's a bad time to have scoring troubles with New York on the schedule tonight. The Knicks' defense allows the fewest PPG (104.3) in the league along with the lowest opponent shooting percentage (44.1%) and 3-point percentage (33.6%). That spells bad news for Young's potential as both a scorer and playmaker tonight.
