FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy
Target Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($10,800): Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns gets a mouth-watering matchup on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings. Towns is a nightly stat sheet-stuffer, averaging 47.4 FanDuel fantasy points per game. He continues to dominate as a two-way scorer (24.7 PPG) while adding 10.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. He now faces the Kings, who give up the most PPG to opponents (118.6) in the league and rank in the bottom half for RPG (52.5). Towns should feast in this shootout between teams who play at fast paces and have poor defenses.
Paul George Fantasy
Target Paul George, SG, Los Angeles Clippers ($9,000): Speaking of bad defense, the Portland Trail Blazers have the second-worst defensive net rating (116.6) in the league and give up the sixth-most PPG (114.7). That puts Paul George in prime position to keep up his recent play. He's scored 50-plus fantasy points in five of his last six contests. That streak started with these same Blazers, when George torched them for 36 points along with 5 assists and 3 rebounds. It's shaping up to be a great night for PG13 against Portland's lacking wing defenders.
Harrison Barnes Fantasy
Target Harrison Barnes, PF, Sacramento Kings ($6,000): Harrison Barnes has a golden opportunity to be a value pick tonight. Not only does Minnesota give up the second-most PPG (118.1) and RPG (55.8) in the league, but Kings big man Richaun Holmes is out for this contest, taking one rebound magnet out of the equation. Barnes has provided solid scoring (15.7 PPG) and rebounding (6.6 RPG) production all year, and he's a threat to record his third double-double of the month on Tuesday.
CJ McCollum Fantasy
Avoid CJ McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers ($8,100): Damian Lillard being out should theoretically boost CJ McCollum's fantasy outlook. However, McCollum hasn't blown us away in the past two Lillard-less games, recording 44.4 and 42.2 fantasy points. Those are good nights, though nothing spectacular. You'd hope for more from the team's No. 1 option against the Charlotte Hornets and San Antonio Spurs. Now he faces a strong Los Angeles Clippers defense that will focus on stopping him and make the Blazers' other contributors beat them. The Clippers surrender just the fifth-fewest PPG (108.1) this season, so that could hurt McCollum's scoring and assist numbers tonight.
Lonzo Ball Fantasy
Avoid Lonzo Ball, PG, New Orleans Pelicans ($7,500): Lonzo Ball's pricetag tonight doesn't line up with his current form. He has three straight games with fewer than 24 fantasy points despite averaging 31.4 on the year. He's played in 28, 19 and 27 minutes over that span as well; the latter two have come while he works himself back into the lineup following a four-game absence. Ball isn't a major factor in the Pelicans' offense at the moment even when does get the minutes, so it's best to avoid him on Tuesday.
