FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA
Joel Embiid Fantasy
Target Joel Embiid, C, Philadelphia 76ers ($10,400): MVP contender Joel Embiid draws a favorable matchup on Monday against the Golden State Warriors. Already putting up monstrous numbers this season, Embiid's scoring average has ballooned to 37.0 points per game (along with 11.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists) over his last three contests. He faces a Warriors defense giving up the 10th-most PPG (113.6) and third-most RPG (55.7) in the league. Embiid should thrive against an unimpressive Golden State frontcourt.
Christian Wood Fantasy
Target Christian Wood, PF, Houston Rockets ($8,000): Christian Wood is on a roll of his own heading into tonight's game against the Miami Heat. Wood has three 25-point double-doubles in his last four games, putting up 50.5, 54.6 and 43.5 FanDuel fantasy points in those contests, respectively. Wood is averaging 33.7 minutes per game during April and remains one of the Houston Rockets' go-to contributors. He's going to get his share of shots on offense, and against a Heat team that's in the middle of the pack for RPG (51.6), Wood is a serious double-double threat once again on Monday.
Marcus Smart Fantasy
Target Marcus Smart, SG, Boston Celtics ($6,900): Marcus Smart has elevated his impact on the Boston Celtics in recent weeks. He's upped his fantasy point average from 30.0 to 36.2 over his last six contests, outpacing his season averages in PPG (16.5), APG (6.5) and RPG (5.5) during that span and playing in 36.1 minutes per game. Now he faces the Chicago Bulls, who rank just outside of the top 10 in opponent PPG (113.5) and are allowing the sixth-highest field goal percentage (47.7%) against them this season. Smart is in a prime position to keep up his success as a scorer and distributor on Monday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy
Avoid Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF, Milwaukee Bucks ($11,000): Giannis Antetokounmpo is still working himself back to full speed after missing six games due to a knee injury. He matches up with a strong Phoenix Suns defense on Monday that's surrendering the fourth-fewest PPG (107.8) and seventh-fewest RPG (50.3) in the league. Giannis has surpased his fantasy PPG average (54.6) just once in his last five contests, and it's hard to see him bucking that trend against Phoenix. It would be wise to avoid shelling out for the third-most expensive player on Mnday's slate given his matchup and recent numbers.
Nikola Vucevic Fantasy
Avoid Nikola Vucevic, C, Chicago Bulls ($9,100): Nikola Vucevic is another usually strong fantasy performer facing a possible off night against a tough opponent. The Celtics give up the 10th-fewest PPG (110.0) and RPG (50.7) this season. Vucevic had a notably down performance against Boston earlier this season as a member of the Orlando Magic, recording a measley statline of 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. It'd be no shock if he struggles to justify his pricetag tonight.
