Kareem Hunt Fantasy Outlook Mired by Uncertainty With Latest Injury Update

Kareem Hunt got off to an outstanding start to the season, averaging 87.0 yards from scrimmage and generating 16.8 PPR points per game for fantasy managers.

Hunt's fantasy outlook took a big hit when he was placed on I.R. in Week 7, however, and there's been no additional clarity about his availability. All we know is that he won't be activated for Week 10, despite being eligible.

This one stings, because with Nick Chubb on the shelf, Hunt would be a no-doubt RB1 if he returned.

Instead this leaves D'Ernest Johnson getting his second opportunity to lead the backfield. Johnson went off for 168 yards from scrimmage on 24 touches in his first start, so it's safe to say he's a great play against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Managers with Hunt will just have to hang tight. Even though they won't get the massive upside afforded by the Chubb-free week, Hunt will still be an every-week starter when he returns.
