While fans eagerly await the official release of the 2021 NFL Schedule, we have some idea of what the schedule will look like. Based on the current construction of the league's yearly schedule, the opponents each team will face are firmed up. With that in mind, it looks like the Buffalo Bills have a clear path to another first-round bye.

Bills First-Round Bye

Following the 2021 NFL Draft weekend, NFL Insider Mike Clay released a strength of schedule rating based on the known opponents and current roster constructions. While the actual order of games isn't established yet, this offers an idea which teams will have it easier next season.

Buffalo cruised through their 2020 schedule to finish 13-3 and earn the second seed in the AFC Conference. It looks like the Bills have another clear path towards another first-round bye. Based on Clay's projections, Buffalo owns the league's third-easiest schedule

The league is also gearing up to add a 17th game to next year's slate. It's already been reported that the Bills will likely square off against the Washington Football Team in this matchup. Washington won the NFC East division but finished with a 7-9 record last season. This just adds another easy opponent for the Bills to handle.

Thanks to a breakout year from quarterback Josh Allen, Buffalo owned the third-best offense in the entire league last season with 60 total touchdowns. Allen threw for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns, both top-five marks in the league.

FanDuel Sportsbook's 2021 AFC Title Odds are also in the Bills' favor as Buffalo ranks second with +600 odds to win the conference, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs.
