The Houston Texans season has not gone as expected, and injuries have only made things worse. However, Houston should be getting a boost to their offensive lineup for their Week 13 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Running back David Johnson has passed concussion protocol, and he will be activated for this week, making his fantasy value skyrocket.
David Johnson Fantasy
Johnson was put in a tough position this season, having been traded for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. No matter how Johnson performs, he will be compared to one of the best receivers in the game.
Despite this, Johnson has played pretty well overall, running for 408 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. He has averaged 4.0 yards per carry, which is his most since 2016. Johnson has also added another 16 receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown.
Known as a dual-threat running back throughout his career, Johnson could see a boost in his receiving numbers down the stretch this season. This week, it was announced that top receiver Will Fuller V would be suspended for the rest of the season. With few candidates to replace that production, Johnson could see more designed plays for him in the passing game, making him an interesting value in the fantasy playoffs.
