World Cup Predictions Today: Belgium vs. New Zealand

Best Bet: Kevin De Bruyne 2+ Shots on Target (+120)

A win almost surely gets Belgium through while a draw puts them in a tricky spot. They'll be doing everything in their power to take all three points, and the market is pretty bullish on them, listing Belgium at -600 to win.

Belgium have been massively disappointing so far, tying Egypt and Iran while scoring just one goal. I can see De Bruyne trying to take things on his shoulders today in an effort to carry this side through.

He's been very active and aggressive through two matches, firing off nine shots, two of which went on target. He handles free kicks and may be on penalties, giving him additional avenues to placing a shot on goal.

All in all, I find these +120 odds appealing in a match where New Zealand likely sit back, potentially opening up some space for KDB to shoot from outside the box.

How to bet on the 2026 World Cup.

World Cup FAQ

What are three-way odds in soccer?

Unlike traditional moneyline betting in American sports, soccer uses three-way odds. You're betting on one of three outcomes: Home Team win, Away Team Win or a Draw. This is the fundamental difference from NFL or NBA lines. The draw exists because soccer matches can end in ties. Three-way odds account for this possibility.

When does the US play in the 2026 World Cup?

The Americans have completed their group stage matches, winning Group D. Their Round of 32 match against Bosnia takes place at 8 p.m. ET on July 1.

When is the 2026 World Cup Final?

The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Who is the favorite to win the 2026 World Cup?

Spain leads the betting board at +450 odds to win the World Cup, per FanDuel Sportsbook's World Cup odds, followed by France at +500 and England at +700.
