Dak Prescott's Injury Status Remains Murky Despite Jerry Jones' Comments

Currently, when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys, all eyes remain fully centered around quarterback Dak Prescott's health. Particularly, the health of his throwing shoulder. He's remained suspiciously limited throughout Dallas' training camp, dating back to July.
The story took another strange turn on Tuesday when Jerry Jones made some definitive claims around Prescott's health during a radio interview.
“I wouldn’t be nervous this morning as where he is in his recovery. He’s there.... the bottom line is he’s there.

Normally, this would be a cause for celebration in Dallas. But, the Cowboys continued their normal training camp schedule on Tuesday and once again, Prescott was essentially held out of practice. The two-time Pro Bowler did continue with some individual work, but missed team drills. Again.

Dak Prescott Injury Update
Jones feels confident that Prescott will be fully ready and 100% healthy for their Week 1 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sept. 9). But, the rest of the NFL world may not share that sentiment. As a reminder, the Cowboys are just 16 days away from their opening kick, which takes place as the league's opening Thursday Night Football game.
This is certainly a situation to continue monitoring. Prescott missed the majority of his 2020 campaign following a devastating ankle injury. In his absence, the Cowboys went just 4-7 en route to a disappointing 6-10 overall finish.
