As confidence seemingly rises in Carson Wentz's health during training camp, the NFL MVP bets continue to come in for the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback. Heading into Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, Wentz remains the most popular MVP bet, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Wentz currently holds the sixth-best odds to win the NFL MVP, at +1400, but if he can stay healthy, the Eagles QB is a legitimate threat to win the award. Of course, injuries have been Wentz's problem since he entered the NFL, missing eight regular season games over the past two seasons combined. He was in line to win the MVP in 2017, if not for an injury that ended his season in Week 14.

Rounding out the most popular MVP bets at FanDuel Sportsbook are Andrew Luck (+900), Saquon Barkley (+3400), Deshaun Watson (+3400) Baker Mayfield (+1500) and Sam Darnold (+8000).

While it would be a great return, Barkley winning the NFL MVP looks like it could be an uphill battle for the Giants running back. It seems as though the two biggest criteria for winning the award is a team's winning percentage and if you play the quarterback position, two things that Barkley will likely leave unchecked in 2019. The last running back to win the MVP was Adrian Peterson in 2012.

Patrick Mahomes, the reigning NFL MVP, currently has the best odds to win the award, at +600. Everything seems in play for Mahomes to repeat, but it may be more difficult than it appears. The last player to win back-to-back MVP awards was Peyton Manning in 2008 and 2009.
