The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without wideout Antonio Brown when they face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The 12th-year veteran has been ruled out of Week 8 with an ankle injury that he's been dealing with over the past two weeks.
Antonio Brown Injury Update
Brown hasn't practiced for Tampa Bay ever since his ankle sprain was revealed on Oct. 20. This past Wednesday, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that he wasn't sure how much more time the dynamic wide receiver would miss. He added that the wideout may not be back until after Tampa Bay's Week 9 bye.
When healthy, Brown has been money for the Buccaneers. He's hauled in 29 of 42 targets this season for 418 yards and 4 touchdowns. Not only that, but his 14.4 yards per reception and 83.6 yards per game are both the highest among his teammates.
With Tom Brady having the likes of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and, potentially, a returning Rob Gronkowski at his disposal, there isn't a need to rush Brown back into the lineup. After all, Tampa Bay easily disposed of the Chicago Bears, 38-3, in Week 7 without him.
