As the sports world prepares for the reopening of the PGA Tour, many of the world's top golfers will be competing at the Charles Schwab Challenge beginning this Thursday, June 11.
With sports bettors clamoring for live sports to return, it's clear they're pretty excited about this event. Since odds have been posted on FanDuel Sportsbook, Brooks Koepka (+2500) leads the way in total bets, but is tied at the top in total handle, with favorite Rory McIlroy (+800).
In total bet count, Koepka is followed by McIlroy, Jordan Spieth (+3200), Justin Thomas (+1600) and Rickie Fowler (+3500).
Rounding out the rest of the list on most handle is Jon Rahm (+1200), Thomas and Spieth. Interestingly, though, Thomas also received the most bets of the bunch to miss the cut entirely (+350).
McIlroy has received the largest single bet to win with one user wagering $2,000 to win $16,000.
So while there are no guarantees, it is now clear who the bettors are favoring and in what capacity as we head into the first PGA Tour event back in live action.
