The Denver Broncos have had an up-and-down offseason so far, but are expected to get a key veteran back on the field in 2021. Offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, but is 100% healthy and reportedly ready to return to the team next season.

James signed a massive free-agent deal with Denver in the 2019 offseason and is slotted to be their starting right tackle. The 28-year-old lineman is a vital piece of this offensive line and will help improve the protection for whoever the Broncos starting quarterback is next season.

Both GM George Paton and head coach Vic Fangio have spoken to James this offseason and said that he is excited to join his teammates. Plus, offensive line coach Mike Munchak has built a reputation of getting the best out of his players, so James could bounce back rather quickly here.

The Broncos play in a tough NFC West division, but could compete for an AFC Wild Card spot next season if all goes right. The return of James definitely helps them when it comes to achieving that goal and this young offense will benefit from having his veteran presence around.

We'll see if Denver can get back on their feet when the 2021 NFL season kicks off in August.
