Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were up to their usual fantastic fantasy ways in Antonio Brown's Week 7 absence. The two finished last week as WR3 and WR6, respectively, seeing an insane 21 combined targets.

Brown's latest injury update means the pair of leading Buccaneers wideouts could be in for another big performance in Week 8.

Antonio Brown Injury Update

Not only did Brown miss Wednesday's practice in Tampa Bay, but the veteran pass-catcher was seen with a crutch as he nurses an ankle injury.

There's no definitive word from Tampa Bay but seeing him on crutches does not bode well for his Week 8 availability.

Mike Evans Fantasy Outlook

Tampa Bay will have no problems filling that absence thanks to their deep roster of playmakers. Evans was brilliant in Week 7, his best performance of the 2021 campaign. He caught 6-of-10 targets for 76 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

That performance was good for WR3 output as Evans put up more than 30 PPR fantasy points.

Chris Godwin Fantasy Outlook

Godwin also enjoyed one of his best fantasy performances in Week 7, hauling in 8 catches on 11 targets for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. That put up at 25+ PPR points and his second-most targeted game during the 2021 campaign.

Evans and Godwin check in as starting WR options for fantasy managers this week. Evans ranks as WR9 and Godwin as WR14 on The Duel's Week 8 positional rankings.

Evans and Godwin already operate as clear-cut fantasy starters on a week-by-week basis. If Brown misses action again in Week 8, fantasy managers can bank on another pair of top-line performances from these dynamic wideouts.
