The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed wide receiver Antonio Brown on the reserve/COVID list. Fantasy managers shouldn't panic just yet, though. This update might not be as bad as it seems.
The Bucs are 100% vaccinated as a team, which obviously means that Brown is too. Vaccinated players need two negative tests at least 24 hours apart in order to be eligible to play. It's only Wednesday, so there is still time for Brown to get cleared before Sunday.

Fantasy managers should probably assume Brown is out this week, though. Because even if he did play, he'd be facing one of the toughest defenses in the league in the Los Angeles Rams. Last year, LA surrendered the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. This defense looks dominant again in 2021 and ranks No. 4 in pass defense DVOA.
Plus, Brown's involvement in Week 2 was a bit concerning. He only saw 3 targets last week, catching 1 pass for 17 yards. In the NFL's most crowded skill-position group, Brown is going to be a volatile, boom-or-bust player most weeks.
A matchup against the Rams means he's more likely to fall on the "bust" side of things this week – if he's able to suit up at all.
There will be better days ahead, though. Brown checks in as the WR23 in our rest-of-season PPR rankings.
