The 2019 NCAA Football season is just around the corner, with rivals Clemson and Alabama holding down the top two spots in the AP Top 25 poll.

The young quarterbacks for each program, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, also find themselves locked in a preseason battle for the 2019 Heisman Trophy. While they had the same odds as recently as June, both at +250, Lawrence has since surpassed Tagovailoa, according to Fanduel Sportsbook.

Lawrence is +200 to win the Heisman, while Tagovailoa is at +350. The Clemson sophomore got the better of the Alabama junior in last season's National Championship Game, throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns to Tagovailoa's 295 yards, two TDs and two picks. Clemson crushed Alabama 44-16, in what marked the low point of Nick Saban's Crimson Tide career.

While Lawrence has surpassed Tagovailoa, they are still the clearcut favorites in a field that also includes Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields (+1200), Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez (+2000) and Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm (+2000).
