Video of Gerald McCoy Suffering Season-Ending Quad Injury Is Heartbreaking to Watch
By Max Staley

The Dallas Cowboys had big plans for Gerald McCoy this season. Unfortunately, fans won't get to see them come to fruition in 2020 as McCoy ruptured his quad on Monday afternoon. He will be out for the year.
A video of the injury has surfaced and its truly heartbreaking to watch.
Here’s video shot by @CBS11Sports photojournalist Bill Ellis of Gerald McCoy’s season ending ruptured right quadriceps tendon injury suffered in @dallascowboys 1st practice in pads today...maybe @profootballdoc can explain how this happened??? pic.twitter.com/qceuui1r1p

Fellow defensive tackle Antwaun Woods and McCoy were doing what looked to be a routine drill and weren't even close to full speed. It looks like it was just a freak accident, which likely makes things even more frustrating for Cowboys fans and McCoy himself.
Dallas still has McCoy under contract until 2022, and once he's back to full health he should be a key cog in this defense.
