Atlanta Falcons rookie Kyle Pitts is one first-year player who could make an immediate impact for his team. Standing at 6-foot-6 and boasting impressive athleticism at his size, Pitts presents a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses.

The rookie tight end looked as good as advertised after beating a Miami Dolphins defender in a 1-on-1 drill on Wednesday.

Kyle Pitts News

Pitts had no troubles leaving his matchup in the dust after a quick cut outside that seemed to catch the defender off guard. He then went on to make an uncontested grab and walk into the endzone for a score.

For Falcons fans, this is a taste of things hopefully to come this season. The No. 4 pick in this year's draft racked up 770 yards and 12 TDs on just 43 receptions for Florida in 2020. A similar effort in his first season would immediately make up for the loss of Julio Jones this offseason and help open up the field for Calvin Ridley as he steps into the WR1 role.

Pitts currently owns +1100 odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
