Defenses are sometimes left as an afterthought in fantasy football, but Week 9 served as another reminder as to just how important they can be. Anyone who got burned with just 1 fantasy point from the Kansas City Chiefs D/ST can attest to that.

With that in mind, here are our fantasy football defense rankings for Week 10.

12. Las Vegas Raiders (vs DEN)

11. Cleveland Browns (vs HOU)

10. Miami Dolphins (vs LAC)

9. New Orleans Saints (vs SF)

8. Washington Football Team (at DET)

The Washington Football Team defense hasn't thrived in every area, but their pass rush is stout. Their 23.0% pressure rate ranks No. 10 in the NFL, and that has them fourth in the NFL with 27 sacks. Matthew Stafford may be in the concussion protocol, and if Chase Daniel draws the start against this pass rush, that could spell trouble for Detroit.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs CIN)

Speaking of elite pass rushes, the Pittsburgh Steelers remain the class of the NFL. Their 32 sacks are a league-high, and the only team within even 3 sacks of Pittsburgh has played an extra game. The Steelers' 83 QB hits are also a full 12 more than any other team. Joe Burrow is having an outstanding rookie season, but he's been sacked at least 3 times in five different games in 2020, including being sacked at least 7 times on two occasions. That's a match made in heaven for the Steelers' fantasy value.

1. Green Bay Packers (vs JAX)

FanDuel Sportsbook's Week 10 odds have the Green Bay Packers as massive 14-point favorites (the biggest of the week) against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jake Luton had a decent NFL debut, but that was also against an egregious Houston Texans defense. The Packers are much tougher, and being such massive favorites means they should force Luton and the Jags into plenty of obvious passing situations, which is exactly the scenario you want for fantasy upside.
