The Tennessee Titans' RB1 job is obviously locked up with Derrick Henry, but there's plenty of competition for the depth spots behind him.

One loser of the competition was announced on Tuesday, when the Titans released an interesting running back prospect in undrafted rookie Javian Hawkins.

Hawkins was one of the league's buzziest UDFA's this year before the Atlanta Falcons released him, and the Titans quickly swooped in to sign him.

He had played 21 games at Louisville across his final two seasons, averaging a strong 5.9 yards per carry and scoring a total of 17 touchdowns.

With Hawkins out of the way, Darrynton Evans appears locked into the RB2 spot, while Jeremy McNichols has the inside track on the RB3 role with Brian Hill placed on injured reserve.

The Titans check-in as 3-point home favorites to open the season against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Week 1 NFL odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.
