Sam Darnold entered 2020 in what was a make-or-break season for the quarterback. He didn't exactly do himself many favors, throwing for 2,208 yards with 9 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. His lackluster performance makes the New York Jets likely to select a quarterback at No. 2 in the NFL Draft. And it also makes Darnold expendable.

But his trade value certainly isn't what it once was. In fact, Darnold's value around the league has reportedly taken a significant hit.

Some general managers reportedly only view Darnold as being worth a third- or fourth-round pick. That's a pretty steep decline for someone who was once the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Entering the season, most seemed to believe Darnold could fetch a second- or even first-round pick if he was ever moved.

It sure doesn't sound like that's the case now.

But with plenty of teams in need of a developmental young passer like Darnold, perhaps a potential bidding war could raise his price a bit.

Though it seems as if his reputation around the league has taken a significant hit.
