However, the Raiders could be gifted a first-round steal in April, according to Pro Footbal Focus' latest mock draft.
Las Vegas Raiders Mock Draft 2021
PFF has Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons falling to Las Veags all the way at No. 17. Parsons was once considered a top-10 pick, but has fallen in mocks as of late, which is good news for Las Vegas.
Micah Parsons Raiders
At 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Parsons is a physical beast who could immediately elevate the Raiders' LB corps. As a sophomore in 2019, the linebacker racked up 14.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, 4.0 forced fumbles and 109.0 combined tackles. He also registered 5 passes defended, showcasing some promising coverage skills.
Parsons' ability in coverage has potentially caused his fall in the latest mock drafts, but he only started playing linebacker once he got to Penn State, so there's potential for him to grow. Already an elite pass-rushing force, he'd bring an edge to a Raiders defense that needs it, and his upside makes him a potential steal at No. 17 overall.
