Two weeks of the 2021 campaign are already in the books. If you've missed on some of those early-to-mid-round picks, it's still a bit too early to hit the panic button. But don't be afraid to cut ties with some injured players or some underwhelming late-round picks.

Week 3 Waiver Wire

You don't want to cut ties with high-upside players too early, but you also don't want duds hanging around taking up valuable bench space.

Fantasy Football Players to Drop

With that in mind, here are five players, all rostered in at least 50 percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues, that you can drop to make space for Week 3 wavier wire pickups.

3. Marquez Callaway, WR, New Orleans Saints (62% Rostered)

Few names generated more preseason buzz than Marquez Callaway. He looked like the No. 1 WR on an exciting passing attack. Neither of those statements looks to be true now, but more on Jameis Winston in a second. Callaway has turned his 6 targets into 3 receptions for 22 yards. If he's not doing anything now, it gets a whole lot harder to see him doing much once Michael Thomas gets back. There are plenty of receivers on the waiver wire more deserving of a roster spot than Callaway.

2. Mark Ingram, RB, Houston Texans (64% Rostered)

Mark Ingram made some noise in Week 1, totaling 14.5 PPR points on a whopping 26 carries for 85 yards. Those numbers always felt a bit flukey, though. He was splitting touches with Phillip Lindsay and David Johnson, so it was always going to be tough for him to match that volume. Ingram was also inefficient as a rusher and uninvolved as a pass-catcher. Now that Tyrod Taylor is out for the next few games, Brandin Cooks is probably the only Texan with a roster spot.

1. Jameis Winston, QB, New Orleans Saints (65% Rostered)

The Jameis-Winston-is-back takes don't look so good now. And in retrospect, we probably overreacted to his 5 touchdowns in Week 1. The wheels completely fell off in Week 2. Winston took 4 sacks, threw 2 picks and 0 TDs while completing 11-of-22 attempts for 111 yards. It doesn't look like Sean Payton is going to magically revitalize this guy's career, and there are tons of QBs with more season-long upside available on the waiver wire. Justin Fields (51% rostered), Trey Lance (39% rostered), Derek Carr (27% rostered), Daniel Jones (20% rostered) and Teddy Bridgewater (18% rostered) all look to have more short- and long-term upside than Jameis. There's no reason for him to be rostered in 65% of leagues.
