Any time a superstar, face of the franchise level player exits the game early, it naturally stirs worry within a fanbase. That's exactly what happened to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night as Bryce Harper left the game early with lower back tightness.

According to reports, it looked like Harper may have faced the issue after an awkward swing in the fourth inning of last night's 5-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Phillies fans are hopeful that this is just a minor issue, especially considering Harper missed the tail end of May with a nagging forearm contusion.

Bryce Harper Injury News

Currently, the Phillies are eager to see Harper back in the lineup and playing every day at full strength. Philadelphia owns a 32-33 overall record, but trails the first-place New York Mets by just 5.0 games in the NL East standings.

Harper's power numbers are a little down so far this year, but the six-time All-Star is slashing .274/.387/.470 with 8 home runs and 18 RBIs. As it stands, the Phillies own the third-best odds to win the NL East (+950), according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. A fully healthy Harper is vital to this team's success as the 2021 campaign approaches the All-Star break in July.
