Patrick Mahomes foot injury throughout the playoffs was no secret. While at times throughout the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff run, it certainly was noticeably hampering, as turf toe is known to be.
Mahomes' feet were certainly put to the test in the Super Bowl, where he was forced to run a total of 497 yards by the end of the night from scrambling away from the defensive lineman that seemed to be in the backfield on every play.
While turf toe can be a really painful and nagging injury, Chiefs fans cant rest easy knowing their star quarterback is set to have surgery to fix this issue this week. Giving him plenty of time to be fully healthy by the start of next season.
Hearing Mahomes will make a full recovery is a silver lining on what has been a tough week for Chiefs fans. While they may not have won this Super Bowl, keeping Mahomes happy and healthy is definitely the key to winning another one in the future.
