Friday games usually aren't a thing for the NFL, a league that dominates Sundays in the fall. While there was a Friday game during the 2020 season, according to Patriots owner Robert Kraft, it could become an annual occurrence.

Thanksgiving Day games have long been a tradition in the NFL, with usually a full slate spanning across the entire day as most Americans are at home and usually glued to the couch following a huge meal.

Although, a game the following day, on Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year, could be something added to the NFL's annual schedule.

During a recent interview with NBC Sports' Peter King, Kraft had this to say when discussing the NFL's new TV rights and streaming deal.

"Amazon wanted more from us, and they'll dedicate tremendous resources to make this work for them and for us. Who knows? Maybe we'll play a game on Black Friday, their biggest shopping day of the year."

With recent news of a potential switch to a 17-game regular season looming, this could be another interesting added wrinkle. It could be a great way for the NFL to capitalize on another day where most Americans are off from work and looking for some sports to watch, especially in the evening.

Time will tell if this actually comes to fruition, but regardless, it seems like interesting possibilities are now being discussed amongst the NFL's brass.
