As things have gone off the rails with the Houston Texans franchise, a number of people around the league believe star defensive end J.J. Watt will be traded at some point this offseason. Drafted by the Texans with their first-round pick in 2011, Watt has never played a snap with another franchise, but that day may soon come.

He will be in the final year of his contract in 2021, which makes a deal more feasible from a cap perspective. Here are the three likeliest trade destinations for the game-wrecker.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

J.J.'s brother T.J. Watt plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so the rumors of the two defensive forces teaming up for the older brother's final stretch in the NFL have natutally circulated. The Steelers may have the best defense in the league without J.J., so adding him would make for a scary thought, but Pittsburgh would have to clear some cap to make it happen. Edge rusher Bud Dupree may walk in free agency next year, so Watt would help fill that void.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have become a recent contender out of the AFC East, but their defense has taken a step back in 2020. One area that they have really struggled has been generating pass rush. Watt fits the Buffalo mold, as a gritty player who grew up in a cold weather climate, and the franchise has the cap space to make this move. At this stage in his career, he might even remind Bills fans of a former beloved defensive lineman, Kyle Williams.

1. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are Watt's hometown team, and the two match up well. The Packers can't stop the run and have space on the defensive line for the veteran alongside Kenny Clark. With Aaron Rodgers days in Green Bay possibly coming to an end in the next few years, maybe the Texans star is the missing piece that can get this team over the top while there's still time.
