Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon is one of the league's buzziest names as Thursday's NBA Trade Deadline approaches. After being in trade rumors for multiple seasons, Gordon has reportedly made his trade request official, which could mean a divorce between the two sides is imminent.

However, the Magic's asking price for Gordon is insanely high.

Aaron Gordon Trade Rumors

According to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports, Orlando is looking for two first-round picks and a young player in exchange for Gordon. That's no small price to pay, especially for a player who's an unrestricted free agent after next season.

Gordon is averaging a solid 14.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season for the Magic while shooting 40.2% from 3-point range. His career marks in assists and 3-point shooting are welcomed developments for the forward, who still has untapped potential waiting to be unleashed.

The 25-year-old high-flyer should be a target of several contenders looking to add a dynamic young talent, although Orlando's asking price may turn teams away.

Still, Gordon making an official trade request likely motivates the Magic to trade him, rather than have him cause a distraction, and that opens the door for teams to capitalize on a more friendly deal.
