The already-thin Denver Broncos wide receiver depth chart just took another hit on Monday. KJ Hamler has been ruled out for the rest of the year after tearing his ACL in Week 3.

However, this leaves a big fantasy opportunity for the receivers still standing in Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick.

KJ Hamler Injury Update

Courtland Sutton Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy managers who rolled with any of the Broncos wideouts have been disappointed thus far. Not only did Jerry Jeudy land on the IR already, but the individual performance of this group has been underwhelming.

None of Denver's wide receivers rank in the top-36 WRs in PPR scoring this year. Although, Sutton enjoyed the best individual week on the depth chart, finishing as WR4 in Week 2 with 9 receptions on 12 targets for 159 yards.

The loss of both Jeudy and Hamler should lead to an uptick in Sutton's volume, although the Broncos rank just 21st in passing attempts per game (31.7).

Still, Sutton finished as WR19 his last fully healthy season and clearly has the talent to perform at a high level. He could be primed for a nice boost until Jeudy returns.

Tim Patrick Fantasy Outlook

Tim Patrick is another name to watch. He doesn't nearly receive the same volume or attention as Sutton, but he has been successful at finding the end zone. Patrick owns a pair of touchdowns after Week 3 on just 13 total targets thus far.

Denver heads into Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, a defense that gives up just 36.13 PPR points to opposing wide receivers in 2021 (13th-fewest). Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for the target share in this one before jumping to add Patrick on the waiver wire.
