The Las Vegas Raiders seem to have caught a break as starting running back Josh Jacobs is expected to play against the Los Angeles Chargers this week. Jacobs had been in and out of practice all week as he battled both a knee injury and an illness that caused him to be listed as questionable for this game.

Josh Jacobs Fantasy Outlook

Jacobs is coming off arguably his best game of the season as he rushed for 129 yards on 31 carries and proved to be a true workhorse for the Raiders. He has now received over 20 carries in four of his seven games this season and his 5 rushing touchdowns are just 2 shy of his 2019 season total.

The second-year player out of Alabama draws a decent matchup in Week 9 as he faces a Chargers' defense that is giving up 4.7 yards per carry this season (T-No. 23 in the NFL). In a game that is expected to be very close, the Raiders could lean on the running game even more than usual.

The Raiders are just 1-point road favorites in this matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL betting odds.

Jacobs checks in as the No. 6 running back in our Week 9 fantasy football rankings. Do not hesitate to start Jacobs across all fantasy football formats this week.
