Darren Waller Injury
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Waller's injury is "not concerning." It's believed that he could suit up if this was the regular season, and Las Vegas is just taking advantage of the preseason period to limit wear and tear on their top pass-catcher.
It's fantastic to hear that Waller's prolonged absence is only out of an abundance of caution. He's coming off of a career year in 2020, setting highs in receptions (107), yards (1,196) and TDs (9). He'll slot in as Derek Carr's favorite weapon once again, and keeping him at 100% will be key to the Raiders breaking their postseason drought this season.
Las Vegas currently owns +350 odds to make the playoffs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
