3 Teams That Should Sign KBO Star Kim Ha-seong

This offseason, 25-year-old KBO star Kim Ha-seong will be available on the MLB free agent market.
Playing in the KBO since 2014 (and with the Kiwoom Heroes since 2019), Kim has showed versatility in the infield, primarily playing third base and shortstop.
He's posted 100-plus RBI in three of the last four seasons, and in 2020 stole 23 bases while adding 30 home runs. That made him the only player in the KBO with at least 30 homers, 100 RBI and 20 steals in 2020.
These three MLB teams should pursue Kim aggressively in free agency.
1. Milwaukee Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers could use some more infield depth, regardless of whether they pick up Jedd Gyorko's option or not. Brock Holt, Justin Smoak and Ryan Braun are all gone, and Kim's ability to play multiple positions would give the Brewers some increased flexibility as they look to restock ahead of the 2021 season.
2. Los Angeles Dodgers
If the Los Angeles Dodgers lose Justin Turner to free agency, they'll need to fill the hole in their infield. They're most likely to do that with a splashy addition, but adding Kim could still provide them with some solid, versatile depth at multiple infield spots.
3. St. Louis Cardinals
After declining Kolten Wong's option, the St. Louis Cardinals need to bring in some impact free agents. They still have Paul Goldschmidt and Matt Carpenter on the corners, but Carpenter has some versatility himself and will be turning 35 in November, leaving plenty of room to fit in a promising young infielder like Kim. This lineup needs an infusion of power (27th in the majors with a .371 team slugging percentage in 2020), and Kim could provide the boost they need.
