Justin Reid is one of the best members of the Houston Texans' secondary. A third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Reid has started 27 games for the team, racking up 166 total tackles, 3 fumble recoveries and 5 interceptions during that span.
He also received stellar marks in coverage (79.3) from Pro Football Focus last year. Notably, he did that despite playing with a torn labrum. Reid took to Twitter to provide an update on his recovery, though, and his message should get Texans fans hyped for the 2020 season.
According to the man himself, Reid has been cleared to return to football. Given how good he was while playing with a torn labrum, a fully healthy Reid could be really dangerous in 2020.
The Texans also need him to play at a high level next season. With a relatively shaky cornerback group, led by some veteran cast-offs in Gareon Conley and Bradley Roby, Reid's coverage ability will help make up for some of Houston's deficiencies in the secondary.
With all the uncertainty surrounding the 2020 season, a fully-healthy Reid is something all Texans fans can get excited about.
