Reds Pitcher Amir Garrett Has Incredibly Classy Message for Fans Regarding Thom Brennaman's Comments

FOX Sports announcer Thom Brenneman was caught making homophobic remarks on last night's broadcast of the Cincinnati Reds vs. Kansas City Royals game. He later issued an apology on air, but the damage was done and it's hard to walk back a slur like that.
After the game, Reds pitcher Amir Garrett took to Twitter to make it clear that there's no room in the sport for that kind of language and hate.
To the LGBTQ community just know I am with you, and whoever is against you, is against me. I’m sorry for what was said today.

This is a great, classy response from Garrett. It's short and sweet, leaving no room for ambiguity.
Garrett may not be the most high-profile player on the Reds, but it's great to see him using his platform to stand up for what he believes in.
