The Kansas City Chiefs extended their win streak to four with a 19-9 Week 11 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. It was a game dominated by defense and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn't afraid to admit that.

In fact, Mahomes had a lot of praise for Cowboys rookie pass-rusher Micah Parsons after the game. The former NFL MVP even went as far as calling Parsons "a special player."

Micah Parsons News

Parsons was a nuisance for Mahomes all night long, sacking the quarterback twice — with one leading to a fumble — and an additional three quarterback hits. Clearly, this performance didn't go unnoticed by Mahomes.

"... there's not a lot of guys like that [Parsons] in this league. He has a high motor. He chased me down on that sack, the strip-sack, and the whole game he was in there the whole time battling and battling.

Mahomes also complimented the fact that Parsons has been dominant as a defensive end despite him being a middle linebacker when the Cowboys selected him 12th overall in April. Needless to say, the experiment has found a lot of success.

Parsons leads all Cowboys players and rookie defenders with 8.0 sacks on the season, while his 62 total tackles rank second-most among first-year players. He's also tallied two forced fumbles and 18 quarterbacks hits. His 73.3 overall grade on ProFootballFocus also proves the great job he's been doing.

Parsons is currently FanDuel Sportsbook's overwhelming favorite to be named Defensive Rookie of the Year at -350 odds.
