Nick Bosa Explains How 49ers NFL Draft First-Round Pick Fits on Team
By Max Staley

When the San Francisco 49ers opted to select Javon Kinlaw at No. 14 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, the move certainly took some fans by surprise. But there were signs all along, as Kinlaw is a fantastic fit on the team and projects to be a great long-term replacement for DeForest Buckner.

“He just embodies what we do as a D-line. Just the way he plays the run. He’s just a beast. He plays the run like we play it. He gets off the ball really fast and he’s just a giant human. Perfect to replace Buckner.” #49ers
That's some serious praise for the South Carolina product. Bosa even referred to him as the "perfect" replacement for Buckner. And it doesn't seem like Bosa would say that lightly, given how much respect he has for Buckner.

Over his final two collegiate seasons, Kinlaw racked up a combined 15.0 tackles for loss and 10.0 sacks. He should fit right in on the fearsome 49ers' defensive line, as the team posted a top-5 finish in both sacks (48) and tackles for loss (87) in 2019.
Bosa's comments are a great sign about Kinlaw's future in San Francisco.
