The Super Bowl is the most-watched event in America year after year, by far. Therefore, running a commercial during it is the most premier spot you can buy as a brand. Every year the world's biggest brands pull out all the stops to try and create the best or most memorable Super Bowl commercial, some with incredible success, others falling flat.

However, this year, some of the most prominent brands are deciding to skip this year's game, whether it be to spend that money elsewhere or various other reasons, there will be some noticeable names missing during commercial breaks of Super Bowl 55.

Here is the list of brands who have advertised during the Super Bowl in recent years, but are skipping out this year.
