NFL fans turned their attention to golf on Wednesday when four of the game’s best quarterbacks — Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen — engaged in The Match

At one point, each of the four signal-callers was asked about which defensive back they hate facing off against the most. While each superstar had a solid answer, it was Allen who had the best one as his answer was none other than fellow Buffalo Bills teammate and cornerback Tre’Davious White.

Buffalo Bills News

There’s no doubt that Bills Mafia has to love Allen for deviating the norm by giving some praise to his teammate. If he was just pumping up an average player it would be one thing, but White has become one of the top cornerbacks since joining the league in 2017, highlighted by being named first-team All-Pro in 2019 and second-team in 2020 while making the Pro Bowl in both of those seasons.

Unfortunately, White’s impressive accolade streak was halted last season when an ACL tear prematurely ended his campaign in November. He’s yet to participate in organized team activities (OTAs) just yet this offseason, but head coach Sean McDermott told reporters last week that the 27-year-old’s recovery is still on track.

Even with the games he missed last season, White still recorded 41 tackles, six broken-up passes, an interception and half a sack in 11 appearances. Opposing quarterbacks only had a 59.9 passer rating when targeting him and he didn’t allow a single touchdown pass for the second time in three seasons.

Having a cornerback as talented as White on the Bills also challenges Allen to be a better quarterback in practice. Hopefully, the former LSU defender recovers in time for training camp to help keep the offense as sharp as ever.

Bills Super Bowl Odds

White needs to be as close to 100% as can be to help the Bills fulfill their championship dreams next season. It’s looking promising as FanDuel Sportsbook is listing Buffalo as the +650 favorite to win Super Bowl LVII.
