The New York Jets are the NFL's worst team, currently sitting winless at 0-9 on the season. However, it becomes exponentially harder to win games, or even just a game, when your starting quarterback is out.

When asked about an update on Darnold's shoulder injury, Jets head coach Adam Gase revealed that the USC product would be out again in Week 11, though he has a chance to return in Week 12.

Backup Joe Flacco has had some moments filling in for Darnold, but it's clear the Jets' best chance at putting anything in the win column this season will come with Darnold under center.

The Jets are already heavy 8.5-point road underdogs to a struggling 2-7 Los Angeles Chargers team in Week 11, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. While this game might be winnable, not having Darnold again surely has to be deflating for New York.
