There has been a few noteworthy trades so far this NFL offseason and one involved the Las Vegas Raiders and offensive lineman Gabe Jackson. Jackson was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth-round pick, but he made sure to take a parting shot on his way out of Las Vegas.

Jackson had spent his entire career as a part of the Raiders organization and played in 100 games over the last seven seasons with the team. He recently spoke on the topic and explained how he is excited to play for a winning organization with such a reputable fan base.

Gabe Jackson Trade

It's no surprise to see Jackson hold a bit of ill will towards the team that decided it was best to trade him away. The Raiders have finished with a winning record just once since 2003. On the other hand, the Seahawks have only missed the playoffs one time since Jackson was drafted in 2014.

The Seahawks entered the offseason in desperate need of an upgrade along their offensive line. Jackson brings experience to the offense and needed protection for quarterback Russell Wilson. Seattle obviously liked his play in the past as they also signed him to a three-year extension.

Winning in the NFL is every player's goal and it looks like Jackson feels he has a better shot with his new team than he had before. If the veteran guard can help Wilson stay upright and healthy, the Seahawks should be right in the thick of the playoff race again next season.
