It's looking like the No. 6 Florida Gators are going to be shorthanded in Week 12. Freshman wide receiver Trent Whittemore is apparently dealing with a punctured lung suffered from broken ribs, which is a pretty brutal injury.

There's nothing concrete as to when he can be expected to return, but Florida would obviously like to have him back on the field soon.

Through five games, Whittmore has racked up 8 receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown, averaging 10.1 yards per catch.

Even without Whittmore, though, Florida shouldn't have much trouble earning a win this week. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Gators as huge 31.5-point favorites over the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday.
