Devin Singletary Fantasy Outlook Boosted by Usage Over Zack Moss

The Buffalo Bills' lead back role has flip-flopped between Devin Singletary and Zack Moss all season. However, Singletary's increased usage after Moss' costly fumble in Week 13 bears good news for his fantasy outlook going forward.

Zack Moss Fantasy Outlook

Moss appeared to be winning RB1 duties until his fumble mishap on Monday. He was out-snapping Singletary in each game since Week 8 until falling to just 15% of snaps in Week 13.

Moss has averaged 8.2 fantasy points (PPR) per game, keeping him fantasy relevant despite the competition with Singletary, but the potential for his demotion to last longer than just a game makes him too risky to consider even as a FLEX option in Week 14.

Devin Singletary Fantasy Outlook

Prior to Monday's game, Singletary was averaging just 13.5 opportunities (10.0 rushes plus 3.5 targets) per game while being handcuffed by Moss.

With Moss effectively benched in Week 13, Singletary's involvement ballooned to 18 rushes and 4 targets in his team's win. That's even above the 18.0 opportunities (14.0 rushes plus 4.0 targets) he was averaging in the three games Moss has missed this year.

It's good news for Singletary fantasy managers when Moss isn't involved for Buffalo. Singletary averaged 12.6 fantasy points over the four games Moss has missed (Weeks 3-5) or been limited (Week 13), which is well above his season average of 9.4.

Singletary's heightened involvement in Week 13 and decent production could earn him more of a lead back role going forward after being a drop candidate in recent weeks. He remains a solid RB2 option with the potential to be a low-end RB1 if Moss continues to see his role decline.
