Cowboys Defender Wins Player of the Month Honors
The Dallas Cowboys are at the top of the NFC East heading into October. Dallas owns a 2-1 record thanks, in part, to an improved secondary over last year's unit.
One Cowboys defender has been recognized with Player of the Month honors.
Cornerback Trevon Diggs earned the NFC's Defensive Player of the Month award after his impressive start.
Diggs' play has been crucial to Dallas' secondary in the early going. He's notched an interception in each of the first three games, including a pick-six against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The second-year pro has also recorded 6 pass breakups to begin the year.
The Alabama product has already matched the 3 INTs he nabbed as a rookie, and it's clear he could well on his way to a true breakout campaign in 2021.
Diggs will look to come up big once again against the undefeated Carolina Panthers in Week 4. Dallas is a 4.5-point favorite in that game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
