The Dallas Cowboys haven't made the NFL playoffs since 2018 but this team has high hopes entering next year with quarterback Dak Prescott on the mend. Dallas benefits from one of the more favorable schedules in the league.
According to ESPN's Mike Clay, the Cowboys own the 10th-easiest schedule in the entire league for 2021. It should be noted that the order of games has not been set, but based on the current construction of the league's yearly schedule, the opponents Dallas will face are already known.
Cowboys Schedule 2021
Clay used known opponents and the current construction of league rosters to come up with his strength of schedule projection. Although this projection is based on a random order of games, all of Dallas' opponents are set in stone. Only five of these opponents made last year's playoff field.
Last season, the Cowboys offense finished in the top-half of the league with 371.8 yards per game. All-Pro running back Ezekiel Elliott gained 65.3 rushing yards per game while wide receiver Amari Cooper led the team with more than 1,000 receiving yards.
Dallas also hired Dan Quinn as its new defensive coordinator and made six defensive draft picks to improve on that side of the ball.
As it stands, FanDuel Sportsbook is giving the Cowboys +1300 odds to win the conference. Dallas fans are hopeful an easier schedule helps propel this team back into the playoffs.
